Legislation that would enable Pennsylvania to enter into transportation-specific public-private partnerships as a tool to help the Commonwealth meet its growing transportation infrastructure needs was approved this week by the House Transportation Committee. The bill would allow for contractual agreements between government and private sector entities to develop, construct, manage, operate and even finance transportation projects. Bill sponsor Rep. Chairman Geist Supports Bill to Increase Training and Limit Passengers for New Teen Drivers - 2/28/2011
Lowering the number of fatalities among teenage drivers in Pennsylvania by increasing the number of hours required for training and reducing the number of passengers allowed in vehicles operated by those holding a junior driver’s license is the aim of legislation introduced this week in Harrisburg.
